Oh, Danmachi… how nice it is to see a familiar face finally returning from the metaphorical grave. A vibrant fantasy world, cast of colorful characters, and an excessive amount of fanservice around every corner. What’s not to love, am I right?
Well, I don’t really know what I can say about this series any more than I already have at other points in my life. I’ve been an avid reader of the Light Novels, so I basically already know what’s in store for us this season… and several more seasons to come, if they ever do. I still love Lillie and Welf, and Hestia’s still obnoxious, but whatevs.

Already, this new season definitely looks just as nice as the first. In essence, a promise for some incredibly exciting action sequences, and of course, that unique feeling of adventure that so many anime fail to capture nearly as well as Danmachi does very consistently. The classic underdog scenario, brought to brilliant life with Bell’s struggle to become like his star… but we can’t forget the rest of the cast.
I think part of what really makes Danmachi such an attention-grabber, even amidst the many classic fanservicey, harem-bait tropes, is the literal dozens of colorful, brilliant characters, and the life that fills the city of Orario and the labyrinth it surrounds. And we’ll only be getting more members of our lovely cast from here on out. As a reader of the LN, I really am excited for some of the many events from here on out!

Anyways, that’s basically a summary of my thoughts on this new season, though it’s more a nostalgia-fest than anything else. Let me know how you guys are feeling about this series down in the comments! Thanks so much for reading, and as always, I hope to see everyone in the next post!!
I am fully on the hype train for this one having loved the first season and also read a fair way ahead in the light novels. DanMachi was always good fun and I’m looking forward to another exciting season.
