Nooooo! Is this seriously the last episode??? They’re leaving us on THAT??? It can’t be over! I can’t believe this! Riots! Mutiny! I want more, I need more, please give me more of this show!!!!

Well, if you couldn’t tell… I really, REALLY enjoyed this show. It did so many things really well, with clever, witty humor and constant surprises, all wrapped around a heart of gold. When I started watching this show, I never thought i’d fall so deeply in love with it… but, lo and behold, here I stand, simply craving for more of our zombie girl idols. Especially after being left on a cliffhanger like that…

This may have actually been the best episode of the show so far, though. The solidarity and faith that all these girls have built up with each other is fantastic and heartwarming, and watching Tae-chan, of all people, being the most desperate to break through Sakura’s shell was, frankly, beautiful. If we do end up getting a second season, I hope we get to learn more about Tae and Yugiri; they deserve some backstory.

If you’ve been following my reviews of this show so far… well… I WAS RIGHT!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Tremble before my power and weep at my feet, for I can see the future!!! I totally guessed based on context of a few lines in Episode 11 that Kotaro knew Sakura back in High School, and this whole idol thing was made in order to fulfill her dreams. While it doesn’t explicitly say exactly that, we do get some confirmation that Sakura was indeed Kotaro’s classmate some 10-odd years ago, who she spoke to about her interest in idols. So is all his wacky behavior… just him being a Tsundere???

On the same note, now that my powers have awakened, if Panties-kun, Rin-chan, and Leap want a rematch on that prediction game we did a while back, i’m totally down… unless they’re all too chicken!!!
Jokes aside though, this was a fantastic episode. That concert sequence there at the end was just…. Mwah! 10/10! My heart was pumping and I was rooting so hard for all those girls, I wanted to start chanting and cheering for them myself! (though that would have been a bad idea at 5am when I watched this…) It was so hype I forgot to take almost any screencaps for like, the entire second half of the episode.

If I have one consolation, it’s that a cliffhanger ending means a potential season 2… and that will certainly be something to look forward to! So, as sad as I am that it’s over, i’ll just have to send this show off with a smile… oh, who am I kidding, this is too painful! Please come back to me, Sagaaaaaa!!! (continues typing through tears) If you guys feel the same as me, please let me know down in the comments! I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions about this episode, as well as the show as a whole.

Yep! You totally called it! Wasn’t that cool?
That slow clap… And then the other zombie idols pausing in the song, waiting for Sakura to do her part…
And Sakura rising from the ruins of the stage…
Did you see her fierce expression?
That’s good stuff!

That scene was so freaking awesome. I could not have asked for a better climax to the show, honestly… though it leaves me thirsting for more!!!
