Zombie Land Saga – Episode 11

Well, well, I certainly wasn’t expecting this. Things escalated quite a bit more quickly in this episode than I could have imagined. While it seems Sakura has regained her memories from before she became a zombie, she also appears to have forgotten everything that happened since becoming a member of the walking dead. Well, maybe I expected that much, at least… but I wasn’t expecting what came next.

Sakura. Little, cheerful, hardworking Sakura… has become a grumpy, obtuse pessimist with no drive. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU, GIRL? Well, it seems in life, she had a pretty malevolent string of bad luck, which caused her to lose faith in ever actually accomplishing anything. But to be down in the dumps to this degree… and Kotaro is of course, away from the house while all this is going on.

The end of the episode was really interesting, though, as Kotaro catches up with Sakura to give her the lecture of a lifetime. And this got me thinking… who is Kotaro, really? Why is Sakura number 1? Why is she the only one that is apparently a normal person, out of the whole group?

Well… here’s my personal theory: Kotaro knew Sakura when she was alive. He was her classmate, they were the same age, and he watched her as she tried and tried, quietly encouraging her from the shadows. Now, 10 years later, he’s an adult, while Sakura is a zombie, and everything he’s doing is purely for her sake. This is the true meaning behind him saying “I will never give up on you!”

Well, that’s my personal theory, anyways. Might me kinda crazy, kinda wild… but hey, IF IT’S TRUE… how cool would that be? I think it would be a pretty awesome plot twist, myself. What do you guys think? Let me know down in the comments, and i’ll see you all in the next post!
