Wow, what a rollercoaster we just got to ride. Honestly, this episode was just up and down and up and down again, the whole time. That said, I really did enjoy it. The amount of character development we got for Kaede was great, and the other untouched arcs of the story got some love as well.
Kaede has finally made the resolution to start getting out of the house. Well, things have to start small, but slowly, her courage has been growing over the course of the series, and it’s been wonderful to see. She’s finally able to push herself beyond her comfort zone, and I know Sakuta isn’t the only one who’s happy at this development.
Of course, as in all things, it’s not all roses and butter cups. We learn from an old friend of Kaede that after she stopped coming to school, her bullies had been bullied in turn, until they left school as well. A vicious cycle, but perhaps not an unforeseen one. But the news doesn’t end there, as we learn that Kaede has suffered more than just physically…
This episode really gave us a lot to think about, and there is a lot left to cover before the show is through with us. I cannot wait for the next episode, I’m so excited as I love this series, and I really hope things end well, for everyone.
So the questions still remain, then: will Kaede be able to make a full recovery and go back to school? And what’s the story behind Sakuta’s first crush? Let me know what you guys think down in the comments, and I’ll see you all in the next post!
