100 Day Anime Challenge is here again, and today is day 69! The question of the day is: What is your favorite Action/Adventure anime, and why? Oh, boy, have I got a great one today. The show I have in mind is a fantastic action show, with a lot of adventure, and a whole lot of soul. Can you guess what i’m thinking of? That’s right, it’s Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Gurren Lagann is one of my favorite shows of all time. Sure, it’s got flaws, like the slow introduction and the forgettable episodes 2-6. But good heavens, from like episode 7 onwards, it’s pure and total gold. Amazing action sequences, and unbelievably good soundtrack, and one of the best storylines i’ve ever seen in any anime ever. The visuals are unforgettable, and I can almost guarantee the show will have you in tears at some point or another.
If you haven’t seen Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann yet, your life is not yet complete. Both the tv version and the two movies are amazing, telling the same story. I’d watch the first season of the tv anime, and replace the second with the second movie, but that’s just me. What are some of you guys’ favorite Action or Adventure shows?
