100 Days of Anime: Day 30

Day 30 is here! Now, if I were doing the 30-Day Anime Challenge, i’d be done today. And i’m kind of wishing that I had, because this challenge is seriously tough. Nevertheless, I will persevere! Today’s question is: What is an anime that you wish never ended, but instead continued on. Well, I really couldn’t think of just one good answer for this question, so instead, I am gonna list a few shows that I wish we had more of. (Keeping in mind that i’m not assuming this means the show goes on forever, just that there needs to be more of it.)

Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere is a fantastic Dark Fantasy/Action show with great characters, music, and art. The story, characters, and just about everything else about it is great. It’s one of my favorite shows of all time, and I would kill for more seasons.

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes is another Dark Fantasy show, with an amazing plot and some incredibly written characters. With lots of mystery and intrigue, and some fabulous action sequences, the show is a great watch. Unfortunately, the show that we have didn’t really get a proper ending, leaving us on a huge cliffhanger.

Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren’t They? Is an isekai show with a twist. People with special abilities are summoned from various worlds and timelines to a place called the Little Garden, where they compete in various games for any kind of prize imaginable. Unfortunately, the show was canceled, and ended early, leaving me craving more.

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. Do I need to say more about this one? I have read, and own, all the light novels that have been translated and printed in English so far, and I don’t see myself dropping the series… ever. It’s such a well-written and well-directed show, and we definitely need more.

Soul Eater. My demands here are very simple. Do to Soul Eater, what was done to Full Metal Alchemist in Brotherhood. Make a new series, following the actual manga, and tell that amazing story all the way to the end. Because in my current opinion, the only way to experience the glory that is Soul Eater, is to read the Manga.

Last, but certainly not least, Spice and Wolf. As someone who works in the field of economics, this show pushed all the right buttons for me. Holo and Lawrence’s interactions are so crazy and fun, and the story is so fantastic, as well. (I totally don’t own all 18 volumes in paperback…)

So, there’s my little wish list for some shows that need some continuation to them. Do you guys agree with my choices? What are some shows that you guys wish we had more of? Please let me know down in the comments below, and I hope to see you all again tomorrow!

  1. Totally agree about Soul Eater. I don’t really care that it didn’t follow the source but I do care that the ending of the anime is dreadful compared to everything that comes before it. If you can’t write an original ending, don’t try.
