Day 27 of the 100 Day Anime Challenge. Today’s question is: What is your pick for the most epic/badass scene from any anime character? This seems strangely similar to yesterday’s question, but it’s different enough that I won’t question it, I suppose. This question was pretty hard for me, as well, but I ended up deciding on a great pick that i’m very happy with. My pick is Mikasa Ackerman during the initial invasion of Trost, early on in Season 1 of Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan is a show that I have very mixed feelings about. With a somewhat mediocre plot and a lot of cringeworthy dialogue, it’s not what you’d call a masterpiece, but dang, does this show have some of the most fantastic action scenes you’ll ever see in Anime. And when action scenes are in call, nobody does them better than Mikasa. This scene in particular, she has just learned that many of her friends have died (including Eren, supposedly) and she decides to lead a reckless all-out attack against the Titans. The sheer thrill of seeing a master warrior push herself past her limits out of rage and grief was just such an incredible scene.

Honorable mentions go to SAO’s Blue-eyed Demon fight, Mustang vs Lust from FMAB, Bell vs Minotaur from Danmachi, the final fight between Kotomine Kirei and Emiya Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero, and a million more that I wish I could include. I hope you guys like my picks, and I also hope that you’ll let me know: What is your pick for the most epic or badass Anime scene, and why? Thanks everyone for reading, and thank you all for your support on this challenge!
